2022 Arkansas Caregiver Feedback Preliminary Data Report and Survey Instrument
Prepared by Sarah Schmidt and Naomi Sweeney, AR Lifespan Respite Program, AR DHS’s Division of Provider Services and Quality Assurance (DPSQA)
Abstract
The last time Arkansas conducted a state specific survey on caregivers and respite care was in 2017. Since that time, caregiving responsibilities have increased in the state while respite
supports have remained stagnant. The purpose of this study was to provide Arkansas caregivers a platform to provide input and feedback into a caregiver’s environment and their overall
understanding of respite supports available to them, while collecting preliminary demographic and quantitative data to determine future activities and services to reduce caregiver stress and promote caregiver overall health.
2022 Arkansas Caregiver Data Survey use to gather data and feedback from unpaid caregivers across the state on their caregiver experiences and need
