To fully achieve the goals of respite and crisis care and other family support services, it is essential that all aspects of program operations, staff development and training incorporate and support cultural responsiveness. The shift to cultural responsiveness and multicultural programming will require change, risk-taking, training, courage, and coordinating a variety of new and different resources.
