ARCH and the BREAK Exchange cohosted the webinar, Shared Lives Day Support ServicesAn opportunity for a ‘short break’ with wellbeing outcomes, Part 2 to learn more about the benefits of this innovative respite model in Wales for individuals with dementia and their caregivers.

The webinar presented the social value created by TRIO, a community-based day support service for people living with dementia. TRIO is based on the Shared Lives model of support, a unique model of supporting older adults, people with disabilities and their carers in the United Kingdom. The social value was calculated by undertaking a pilot Social Return On Investment (SROI) evaluation. This evaluation was based on a TRIO logic model, which was created in initial phases of the study. The logic model explains the mechanisms and outcomes of TRIO.

The presenter discussed how the pilot SROI evaluation was conducted as well as the findings. This webinar builds on a webinar presented in 2021 about how the logic model was created, though there is no need to have attended the first webinar.
