Finding Care at Medicare.gov
Presentation by Holly Baier, Strategic Marketing Group, Office of Communications, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to the CMS Caregiver Workgroup
Medicare.gov has a streamlined, single user-friendly interface with quality, price, inspection & other data for each provider setting.
This tool can be used to find and compare different types of Medicare providers (like physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and others). The tool maps and filters to help you identify providers that are right for you or your family members. See how patients rate their care experiences at the hospitals in your area. Find home health agencies that offer the services you need, like nursing care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Get detailed information about doctors and clinicians, including contact information, practice locations, specialty, hospital affiliation, and more. Read nursing home inspection reports. Get contact information for local inpatient rehabilitation facilities or long-term care hospitals. See which dialysis facilities offer home dialysis training. View hospice quality care ratings and more.
