This webinar featured three respite programs previously recognized by ARCH as Innovative and Exemplary.

Each year for the past three years, the ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center has invited respite programs across the Nation to apply for recognition as an Innovative and Exemplary Respite Service. Applications are currently open for program recognition in 2021. Learn more and apply.

  • These programs help us learn more about respite services that are evidence-based, evidence-informed, or promising, or that are developing new service models.
  • The programs collect data that demonstrates benefits to caregivers, care recipients, and/or families from receiving respite.
  • And they address challenging aspects of respite provision by reaching rural or military families, individuals with mental health or behavioral issues, grandparents or relative caregivers, adults with disabilities, or children with chronic and complex medical conditions, for example.

Importantly, these programs can inform and inspire all of us to adapt innovative and exemplary practices in our work.
