Respite for Families Caring for Children Who Are Medically Fragile
Medically complex or medically fragile infants and children have numerous medicalĀ needs resulting from multiple chronic conditions, technology dependence, and/or complex medication treatments. This fact sheet is intended to provide a basic overview of useful information for respite providers who work with individuals and families with children who are medically fragile. It is also meant to assist Lifespan Respite grantees and their collaborators by increasing their understanding of the unique needs of this population and their family caregivers.
