Respite Resources for Innovation and Sustainability

ARCH Presentation to the USAging Caregiver Champion Collaborative on September 25, 2024

The National Caregiver Champion Collaborative is a broad-based affinity group composed of Aging Network providers and partners who are responsible for the administration of caregiver services and supports. Convened by USAging, the collaborative serves as a learning and peer exchange forum for caregiving managers and staff across the Aging Network and partner organizations.

Jill Kagan, ARCH, provided an overview of respite care and the Lifespan Respite Care program, shared possible funding streams and strategies for fiscal sustainability, and discussed ARCH initiatives to enhance respite care services and build capacity, including the National Respite Care Provider Training, the Innovative and Exemplary Respite Services Initiative, and resources for volunteer respite.

ARCH was joined by Arcelia Armstrong, Director of the Caregiver Support  & Kinship Navigator Programs at the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern, OH. to spotlight their volunteer respite programs.
