Sustainability Structure Comparisons for State Respite or Caregiving Coalitions

Prepared by the Idaho Caregiver Alliance and adapted by ARCH

When considering the sustainability of your respite or caregiving coalition, it is important to consider the pros and cons of how the coalition will be structured. The Idaho Caregiver Alliance prepared this worksheet to compare various models, including coalitions housed: within a state agency; within a university or agency that contracts with the state; within the Governor’s office; as a free-standing non-profit; within an existing non-profit that acts as fiscal agent; within an existing for-profit agency.  To read more about some of these models, see Building a State Respite Coalition; Where do we begin? and listen to the conversation with the Sustainability Planning Learning Collaborative.
