Eligibility:
- All States, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
- By statute, eligible entities are state agencies that administer the State’s program under the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended, or administers the State’s program under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, or is designated by the Governor of such State to administer the State’s program under this title. The eligible state agency is or works with an Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)/No Wrong Door System and works in collaboration with a public or private nonprofit statewide respite care coalition or organization
Additional eligibility considerations:
- States who have had one or more grants before and wish to continue building their program are eligible to apply.
- States with no currently active grants will be given priority for funding.
ACL will fund up to approximately 7 cooperative agreements, with a federal funding level of up to $400,000 each year for 3-years (through August 31, 2028).
