Sustainability Tools for Lifespan Respite Grantees and Partners: From Theory to Practice

ARCH has collaborated with The Finance Project to bring a set of comprehensive tools to the Lifespan Respite grantees and their partners to help them plan for continuation of Lifespan Respite activities after federal funds have been expended.

The webinar builds on the foundation established in the first two webinars, Framework for Sustainability Planning, May 2012, and Funding Sustainability for Lifespan Respite Programs, Part II: Examples from the States, August 2012. The goal of this interactive webinar is to provide concrete next steps in the sustainability planning process.  The webinar:

  • Sets the stage for implementation of a Sustainability Planning process among the Grantees by reviewing the fundamentals
  • Introduces Lifespan Respite grantees and their partners to the suite of Sustainability Planning resources developed by The Finance Project
  • Answers questions regarding the resources and their use
  • Shares an opportunity for two Lifespan Respite grantees to serve as exemplars who will receive TA support from The Finance Project in setting the course for their sustainability planning efforts

        Sustainability Toolkit

  • The Sustainability Planning Workbook, a comprehensive tool composed of five modules and a CD-ROM that helps users clarify their vision, identify key issues in sustaining their work, and develop strategies to achieve long-term goals. Each Lifespan Respite grantee received the Workbook to share with collaborators in the planning process.
  • Sustainability Planning Workbook Implementation Guide for Lifespan Respite Grantees and Partners designed to guide grantees and partners through the Sustainability Planning Workbook.  The guide highlights sustainability strategies specific to sustaining Lifespan Respite grant activities and State Respite Coalitions.  Click here.
  • A Matrix of Modules, Tasks, Tools, and Resources for Sustaining  Lifespan Respite Systems serves as an interactive table of contents for the Workbook and its five modules. Click here.
